NetFile was established in 1998 and was the first company to electronically file a disclosure statement in California. Today, NetFile accounts for over half of all electronic filings of political disclosure documents and lobbyist statements in the State of California.

In 2003 NetFile introduced a new product built around using its expertise in electronic filing to enable local governments a cost effective way set up their own campaign e-filing and administration systems.

In 2006 NetFile launched another new product using its agency expertise to enable agencies to set up their own e-filing and administration systems for Statements of Economic Interests (FPPC Form 700). This system significantly reduces the amount of time spent by agencies to track and maintain their Statements of Economic Interests filings throughout the year.

NetFile is headquartered in Mariposa, CA with a satellite office in Fresno, CA. NetFile maintains its own support group located at its CA headquarters to provide instant customer support.
